And here we have a photo of a Roman cohort at 1:1 scale, meaning that each soldier in the real-life formation is represented by one soldier in the model.

There are certain words and phrases that make the eyes of a historical wargamer light up. For some, it’s “panzers,” for others, it’s “war elephants.” For me, it’s “1:1 scale.”
